KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Wednesday absolved three people blamed for being engaged with the grabbing and murder of American writer Daniel Pearl in 2002. انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ شیخ اور دیگر کے خلاف مقدمے میں استغاثہ کے گواہ زیادہ تر پولیس اہلکار ہیں ، اور ان کی شہادتوں پر بھروسہ نہیں کیا جاسکتا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ جرم کا کوئی عینی شاہد نہیں ہے اور استغاثہ سزا کے لئے انتہائی ضعیف حالات پر انحصار کرتا ہے۔
ڈپٹی پراسیکیوٹر جنرل سلیم اختر نے انسداد دہشت گردی عدالت کے فیصلے کی تائید کی اور کہا کہ استغاثہ نے اپیلینٹوں کے خلاف اپنا مقدمہ کسی شبہے کے سوا ثابت کیا ہے اور عدالت سے اپیلیں خارج کرنے کی درخواست کی ہے۔
