ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the Kohistan case till Thursday. The apex court was informed that the girls who had appeared in the video at the centre of the case would be produced on when the hearing of the case resumed.
According to Commissioner Hazara the helicopter sent for the girls could not land in their village due to bad weather.
Earlier the Chief Secretary of the province had told the Supreme Court that the girls were alive and a helicopter had been sent to produce them before the court. The court had adjourned the hearing till 6:00 PM on Wednesday and ordered that the girls be produced then.
A three member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaurdhy resumed hearing of the suo moto notice of the video scandal and death decree issued to seven people by the clerics of Kohistan. Four girls and two men were allegedly caught on video singing and dancing together at a wedding party in defiance of tribal customs.
The two accused men Bin Yasir and Gul Nazar were presented before the court and claimed that the four girls visible in the video and the woman who had brought them to the occassion had already been killed on the orders of the jirga.
However, local police and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government continue to deny that the incident took place.
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik appeared before the bench and assured his assistance in the case.
Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court, the brother of the two accused men Afzal Khan said he could swear that the five women had been killed on May 30 on the orders of tribal elders while he along with his brothers will also be murdered.
Afzal Khan said that police cannot be trusted as they have received threats from DIG and Commissioner of Hazara Division.

اسلام آباد … کوہستان جرگہ کيس ميں چاروں لڑکيوں کو سپريم کورٹ ميں پيش نہيں کيا جاسکا، سيکريٹري داخلہ خيبر پختونخوا نے عدالت کو بتايا ہے کہ موسم کي خرابي کي وجہ سے ہيلي کاپٹر پر لڑکيوں کو نہيں لايا جاسکا، انہيں اب کل (جمعرات کي )صبح پيش کرديا جائے گا. چيف جسٹس افتخار محمد چوہدري کي سربراہي ميں 3 رکني بينچ نے کوہستان جرگہ سے متعلق ازخود نوٹس کيس کي سماعت کي. مشير داخلہ رحمان ملک نے عدالت کو بتايا کہ وہ اس کيس ميں عدالت کو مکمل معاونت فراہم کريں گے. ويڈيو ميں رقص کرتے نظرآنے والے 2 لڑکوں بن ياسر اور گل نذر کو بھي پوليس نے عدالت ميں پيش کيا. ان کا کہناتھاکہ جرگے کے حکم پر چاروں لڑکيوں کو قتل کيا جا چکا ہے، تاہم سيکريٹري داخلہ خيبرپختونخوا نے سپريم کورٹ کو بتايا ہے کہ لڑکياں زندہ ہيں، انہيں لانے کيلئے ہيلي کاپٹربھيجا ہے ، جس پر سماعت شام تک ملتوي کي گئي ،ليکن شام کو بھي لڑکيوں کو سپريم کورٹ ميں پيش نہيں کيا جاسکا. سيکريٹري داخلہ خيبر پختونخوا نے عدالت کو بتايا کہ موسم کي خرابي کے باعث لڑکيوں کو نہيں لايا جاسکا، اب کل( جمعرات کي) صبح لڑکيوں کو لا کر عدالت کے سامنے پيش کرديا جائے گا جس پر عدالت نے سماعت ملتوي کردي.
