PTI petition dismissed in NA-118 rigging case

(eNews.pk) - An election tribunal in Lahore has dismissed a petition by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in rigging case. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) challenging the election of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Riaz Malik from Lahore's NA-118 constituency. The tribunal decision, announced by retired Justice Rasheed Qamar, upheld PML-N MNA Riaz Malik's victory and rejected the petition PTI Hamid Zaman, who had alleged rigging during the general elections in the constituency and had urged the tribunal to disqualify the PML-N MNA.

الیکشن ٹریبونل نے قومی اسبملی کے حلقے این اے 118 میں مبینہ دھاندلی سے متعلق تحریک انصاف کی عذر داری کی درخواست مسترد کردی۔ الیکشن ٹریبونل کے جج جسٹس رشید قمر نے این اے 118 لاہور میں مبینہ دھاندلی کیس کا فیصلہ سناتے ہوئے تحریک انصاف کی عذرداری کی درخواست مسترد کردی اور مسلم لیگ (ن) کے رہنما ملک محمد ریاض کی کامیابی کو برقرار رکھا۔ الیکشن ٹریبونل کے فیصلے کے بعد میڈیا سے بات کرتے ہوئے ملک محمد ریاض کا کہنا تھا کہ یہ حق و سچ اور جمہوریت کی فتح ہوئی ہے اور الیکشن ٹریبونل کے فیصلے نے 2013 کے انتخابات مسلم لیگ (ن) کی کامیابی پر مہر ثبت کردی۔
