Presidential meeting on Afghanistan's future

(eNews.pk) - KABUL: Afghanistan Thursday hosts the latest round of international talks on its future after NATO troops left in 2014, with the conflict in Syria also likely that an important place in the ministerial meetings. Representatives from 29 countries will meet in Kabul for the one-day conference, which follows a meeting in Istanbul in November, designed to outline the future of war-torn country after the withdrawal of coalition troops. British Foreign Secretary William Hague said he would use the talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the conference to press Moscow to use its influence to stop the Syrian regime. Monitors say more than 14,100 people were killed in the 15-month uprising against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and Moscow, long an ally of Damascus, has refused to suspend arms sales.

کابل… اتحادي فوج کے انخلاء کے بعد افغانستان کے مستقبل کے موضوع پر وزارتي کانفرنس کابل ميں جاري ہے.ايک روزہ کانفرنس ميں 29 ممالک کو مدعو کياگيا ہے جن ميں پاکستان چين ، بھارت ، ايران ، روس ، سعودي عرب اور ترکي بھي شامل ہيں. کانفرنس کو Heart of Asia Ministerial Conference کا نام ديا گيا ہے جس ميں نيٹو ، يورپي يونين اور اقوام متحدہ کے نمائندے بھي شرکت کر رہے ہيں. کانفرنس ميں دہشت گردي کے خلاف جنگ ، منشيات کي اسمگلنگ ، قدرتي آفات سے نمٹنے اور خطے کے ممالک کے درميان تجارتي اور اقتصادي تعلقات کو مستحکم کرنے سميت مختلف معاملات پر غور کيا جارہا ہے. غير ملکي نيوز ايجنسي کے مطابق توقع ہے کہ افغانستان پاکستان ميں دہشت گردوں کے محفوظ ٹھکانوں کا معاملہ بھي کانفرنس ميں اٹھائے گا.
