PM launced Multan-Khanewal section of M4 motorway

(eNews.pk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Khanewal-Multan section of the M4 motorway which will connect Karachi to Lahore. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that once completed, the motorway will reduce traffic pressure in Multan city since the heavy vehicles will be using the motorway instead of plying through the city.

وزیراعظم نواز شریف آج فیصل آباد ملتان موٹروے کے خانیوال ملتان سیکشن کا افتتاح کریں گے۔ ذرائع کے مطابق، 56 کلومیٹر طویل شام کوٹ انٹرچینج سے ملتان تک ایم فور کا یہ سیکشن تقریباً 13 ارب روپے کی لاگت سے مکمل کیا گیا ہے۔ واضح رہے 2008 میں اس منصوبے کا افتتاح اس وقت کے وزیراعظم یوسف رضاگیلانی نے کیا تھا اور ابتدائی طور پر اسے 2012 میں مکمل ہونا تھا لیکن یہ بروقت مکمل نہ ہوسکا اور اب تین سال کی تاخیر سے مکمل ہوا ہے۔
