No political cell in ISI, Defence Minister Naveed

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Syed Navid Qamar said on Tuesday that there was nothing wrong with the recent statement of the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, Geo news reported.

The notice published today, the minister said that there was a political cell of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) spy service and did not create any obstacle to the government.

He explained that the army chief expressed the same thoughts during his talks with the President and the Prime Minister on several occasions.

Qamar said that he was not clear whether the Pakistan Tehreek-e-safety experts had links with the ISI or not. اسلام آباد…وزیردفاع سید نویدقمر نے کہا ہے کہ آئی ایس آئی میں کوئی سیاسی سیل موجود نہیں ہے،وزیر دفاع کی جانب سے میڈیا کو جاری کئے گئے ایک بیان میں کہا گیا ہے کہ آرمی چیف کے بیان میں کوئی غلط بات نہیں،ان کا کہنا ہے کہ گزشتہ چار سالوں میں حکومت کو آرمی چیف یا آئی ایس آئی کی جانب سے کسی مداخلت کا سامنا نہیں رہا ۔نوید قمر نے مزید واضاحت کی ہے کہ آرمی چیف یہ باتیں صدراوروزیراعظم کیساتھ مختلف وقت میں اپنی بات چیت میں کرتے رہے ہیں۔تحریک انصاف کے آئی ایس آئی سے تعلق کے حوالے سے ان کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ نہیں کہہ سکتاآئی ایس آئی کاتحریک انصاف سے کوئی تعلق رہاہے یانہیں۔اصغر کیس کے حوالے سے ان کا کہنا ہے کہ اصغرخان کیس کے فیصلے کااطلاق تمام اداروں پرہوتاہے۔
