Israel revives plan for settler homes in Jerusalem

(eNews.pk) - JERUSALEM: Israel has revived a plan to build 1,600 new settler homes in east Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo that raised U.S. objections, when first announced in 2010, an official said Monday.




"In the next two weeks District Interior Ministry in Jerusalem committee will meet to discuss the objections to the program that was approved for filing more than two years," said Interior Ministry spokeswoman Efrat Orbach AFP.
"The committee will have to decide which of the charges - if any - to accept it, and make changes accordingly," he added, referring to concerns raised by the public.
