ISI chief holds talks with US officials

(eNews.pk) - WASHINGTON: The new Inter-Services Intelligence chief Lt. Gen. Zaheer ul-Islam, held talks in the United States on Wednesday after a long break in the countries are renewing their uneasy cooperation in the fight against extremists.




The ISI chief comes just after Pakistan agreed to provide access to NATO convoys along its border with Afghanistan.
Islam met Wednesday at the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia, a person familiar with his trip, he said. Spokesmen for the CIA and the Pakistani Embassy refused to comment.
