Indian banks allowed to operate in Pak

(eNews.pk) - SINGAPORE: India and Pakistan have agreed to allow two banks each of the two countries to establish branches across the border.




Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Yaseen Anwar said this while talking to the Indian media here on Wednesday.
The two Indian banks to be allowed to operate in Pakistan are the State Bank of India (SBI) and Bank of India (BoI).
Furthermore, quasi-State National Bank of Pakistan and United Bank Ltd. privately run banking operations completely through the border, once authorized by India.
"It will take some months to approve licenses Indian banks in receipt of them," he said.

کراچي … پاکستان اور بھارت ميں دو دو بينکوں کي شاخيں کھولنے اور دونوں ملکوں ميں مکمل بينکاري لائسنس جاري کرنے پر اتفاق ہوگيا ہے. بھارتي ميڈيا کے مطابق گورنر اسٹيٹ بينک پاکستان ياسين انور کا کہنا ہے کہ اسٹيٹ بينک آف انڈيا اور بينک آف انڈيا کي شاخيں پاکستان ميں کھولنے پر اتفاق ہوگيا ہے جبکہ نيشنل بينک آف پاکستان اور يونائيٹڈ بينک لميٹڈ کي شاخيں بھارت ميں کھولي جائيں گي. گورنر اسٹيٹ بينک پاکستان کا مزيد کہنا ہے کہ پاکستان اور بھارت ميں دو، دو بينکوں کي شاخيں کھولنے اور مکمل بينکاري لائسنس جاري کرنے پر اتفاق ہوا ہے. انہوں نے کہا ہے کہ بھارتي بينکوں کو لائسنس کي منظوري ميں چند ماہ لگ سکتے ہيں.
