Gold surge puts China back on top

(eNews.pk) - LONDON: China went back to the top of the London Games medals table Sunday, as they completed a historic sweep cleaning badminton and went toward the perfection of diving.




Led by the legendary Dan Lin and Wu Minxia real dive, China two gold medals were clear of the United States with 30 to 28, well away from the armies of Great Britain on 16. With a week to go, just over half of the 302 gold medals have been delivered.
In the 2004 Olympic Stadium winner Koji Murofushi of Japan took the bronze in the hammer throw behind Kristzian Pars of Hungary and defending champion Primoz Kozmus. Japan are 15th in the medals table below China and the Koreas.
