Election Commission monitor election expenses: SC

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has issued its order on a petition moved by Barrister Zafarullah of the Workers' Party on election expenses, Geo news reported Friday. Three judges of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, heard the constitutional petition of the Workers' Party, the search for low spending by political parties during elections. Other members of the bench consists of Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez. The court in its order, said that every political party has the right to participate in elections and try to become part of the Government under Article 17. And 'responsibilities of the Election Commission (EC) to ensure that the parties to strictly follow the election rules. The EC has the constitutional mandate that elections are conducted under the rules set. For the sake of democracy, it is appropriate for each candidate must be able to participate in elections as every elected representative comes to power through the democratic process.








اليکشن کميشن انتخابي مہم کے دوران اخراجات پر نظر رکھے، سپريم کورٹ


اسلام آباد… سپريم کورٹ نے انتخابي اخراجات کے مقدمے کا فيصلہ سنادياہے. انتخابي اخراجات سے متعلق کيس کي سماعت چيف جسٹس کي سربراہي ميں 3 رکني بنچ نے کي. اس حوالے سے وطن پارٹي کے بيرسٹر ظفراللہ نے انتخابي اخراجات سے متعلق درخواست دائر کي تھي. کيس سے متعلق عدالتي حکم ميں کہا گيا ہے کہ آرٹيکل 17کے تحت انتخابات ميں حصہ لينا، حکومت ميں آنے کي کوشش کرنا ہر ايک کا حق ہے، انتخابي قوانين پر سختي سے عمل کرانا اليکشن کميشن کي ذمہ داري ہے، اليکشن کميشن کا آئيني مينڈيٹ ہے کہ قوانين کي مطابق اليکشن کرائے، جمہوريت کيلئے ضروري ہے کہ ہرشخص کو اليکشن ميں حصہ لينے کاموقع ملے، منتخب نمائندے جمہوري عمل کے ذريعے ہي اقتدار ميں آتے ہيں. فيصلے ميں کہا گيا ہے کہ اليکشن کميشن انتخابي مہم کے دوران اخراجات پر نظر رکھے، انتخابي اميدواروں سے ميٹنگ کرے، اخراجات کي نگراني کيلئے اليکشن کميشن کا اسٹاف مختلف جگہوں پر جائے، اميدواروں پر اس بات کي پابندي لگائي جائے کہ وہ ووٹروں کو گھروں سے لائيں. فيصلے ميں مزيد کہا گيا ہے کہ پولنگ اسٹيشنز ووٹر کے گھرسے2کلوميٹر سے زيادہ دور نہ ہو.
