Drone killings challenge legality of attacks

(eNews.pk) - WASHINGTON U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich has asked Congress oversight drone program, examiner.com reported.




Speaking in the House of Representatives, Congressman Kucinich said: "The drone program has so far been conducted without congressional oversight or any judicial body."
"American drones in Pakistan have killed 3,378 people. Drones in Yemen have killed 1,952 people. Drones in Somalia have killed 170 people. We have not declared war on any of these nations, but our weapons have killed innocent civilians in all. shows renowned research that the number of high-level goals as a percentage of total deaths of victims is estimated at about two percent. "

واشنگٹن.. . . . امریکی رکن کانگریس ڈینس کوئچنک کا کہنا ہے کہ ڈرون حملے عالمی اورامریکی قوانین کی خلاف ورزی ہیں،خودمختارملک پر ڈرون حملے جنگ کے مترادف ہیں۔ ماورائے عدالت ہلاکتیں عالمی قوانین کی خلاف ورزی ہیں۔ 2004سے اب تک ڈرون حملوں میں صرف 2 فیصد اہم دہشت گردمارے گئیہیں جبکہ 8 ہزارشہری ہلاک ہوئے۔ امریکا پوری دنیاکوقانونی طورپراپنامیدان جنگ سمجھتاہے۔انہوں نے ساتھی اراکین سے مطالبہ کیا کہ پاکستان پرڈرون حملے ختم کیے جائیں۔ خودمختارملک پر ڈرون حملے جنگ کے مترادف ہیں۔امریکا اس وقت پاکستان،صومالیہ یا یمن سے حالت جنگ میں نہیں ۔ کسی ملک کیخلاف اعلان جنگ کاحق صرف کانگریس کوہے۔ ڈرون حملے جارحیت ہیں اور اسے قومی دفاع کے نام پراستعمال نہیں کیاجاسکتا۔
