CJP irked over govt performance on coronavirus

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed says that the government is only holding meetings but nothing is being done on the ground.






An appeal was heard in the Supreme Court against the High Court decision on the release of prisoners. The court said that the matter was not just the release of the prisoners but to see how the government was dealing with Corona, only meeting was being held, nothing was working on the ground.


Chief Justice remarked that there is no hospital in Islamabad where I can go, all hospitals have closed OPDs, only corona patients are being treated in the country, I have a lot to check my wife. Big hospitals have to be opened, private clinics and hospitals are closed, no matter what medical emergency is implemented in the country, every hospital and clinic must be open.

اسلام آباد: چیف جسٹس گلزار احمد کا کہنا ہے کہ حکومت صرف اجلاس ہی کر رہی ہے لیکن زمین پر کچھ نہیں ہورہا ہے۔

قیدیوں کی رہائی سے متعلق ہائی کورٹ کے فیصلے کے خلاف سپریم کورٹ میں اپیل کی سماعت ہوئی۔ عدالت نے کہا کہ یہ معاملہ صرف قیدیوں کی رہائی کا نہیں ہے بلکہ یہ دیکھنا ہے کہ حکومت کورونا کے ساتھ کس طرح سلوک کررہی ہے ، صرف ملاقات کی جارہی ہے ، زمین پر کچھ کام نہیں ہورہا ہے۔

چیف جسٹس نے ریمارکس دیئے کہ اسلام آباد میں کوئی اسپتال نہیں ہے جہاں میں جاسکتا ہوں ، تمام اسپتالوں نے او پی ڈی بند کردی ہیں ، ملک میں صرف کورونا مریضوں کا علاج ہورہا ہے ، مجھے اپنی اہلیہ کی جانچ پڑتال کے لئے بہت کچھ ہے۔ بڑے اسپتال کھولنا ہوں گے ، نجی کلینک اور اسپتال بند ہیں ، اس سے قطع نظر کہ ملک میں کون سی میڈیکل ایمرجنسی نافذ ہے ، ہر اسپتال اور کلینک کو کھلا ہونا ضروری ہے۔
