Before Eid tomatoes, onions, garlic prices high

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: You can definitely find a sacrificial animal at a lower price if you happen to be a lucky person, but you have to pay extra rupees to buy the tomatoes, onion and garlic to help you make delicious food on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.




In the open market of Islamabad, suppliers have increased the prices of tomatoes, onion and garlic for RS40, Rs 10 and 20 respectively.
Wholesale distributors say the latest surge in vegetable prices is consistent with the economic principle of supply and demand.

اسلام آباد … بکرا ،بیل سستا ملے نہ ملے یہ قسمت مگر عید پر گوشت پکانے کیلئے ٹماٹر کی فی کلو خریداری کیلئے 40 روپے،پیاز 10 روپے اور لہسن 20 روپے اضافی ادا کرنے پڑیں گے۔ اسلام آباد کی اوپن مارکیٹ میں رواں ہفتے ٹماٹر کی فی کلو قیمت 50 روپے سے بڑھا کر 90 روپے، پیاز 50 روپے سے بڑھ کر 60 روپے، لہسن 180 روپے فی کلو سے 200 روپے فی کلو تک پہنچ گئی ہے۔ پرچون اور ہول سیل ڈیلرز کا کہنا ہے کہ قیمتوں میں اضافہ طلب میں اضافے اور رسد میں کمی کی وجہ سے ہوا ہے۔
