6 US Soldiers Punished over Desecration of Quran

(eNews.pk) - WASHINGTON: The U.S. military said Monday he was disciplining U.S. troops in two incidents that caused outrage in Afghanistan earlier this year, one of them burned copies of the Quran and another over a video showing marines urinating on corpses.




Administrative sanctions - which could include things like reducing the rank or forfeiture of pay - fell short of criminal prosecution, and it was unclear whether they could meet the demands of the Afghan justice.
