107 killed in attacks across Iraq

(eNews.pk) - BAGHDAD: A wave of attacks across Iraq on Monday killed 107 people in the country's deadliest day in more than two years after Al-Qaeda warned that mounting new attacks and tried to retake the territory.

Officials said at least 214 people were injured in different attacks launched 27 in 18 cities, shattering the relative calm that had taken place in the period prior to the start on Saturday of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan.

In Monday's deadly attack - a series of roadside bombs and a car bomb followed by a suicide bomber targeted the emergency services in the town of Taji - at least 42 people were killed and 40 wounded, according to two medical sources.

بغداد … عراق ميں پير کو مختلف بم دھماکوں اور پرتشدد واقعات ميں ہلاکتوں کي تعداد 107 ہوگئي، 18 شہروں ميں 27مختلف حملوں ميں 216 افراد زخمي بھي ہوئے. تاجي شہر ميں ہونے والے خود کش کار بم حملے ميں 45 افراد ہلاک اور 40 زخمي ہوگئے. بغداد ميں الصدر سٹي کے علاقے ميں سرکاري دفاتر کے باہر ہونے والے کار بم دھماکے ميں 14 افراد ہلاک اور 22 زخمي ہوگئے، واقعے ميں کئي گاڑيوں کو بھي شديد نقصان پہنچا. بغداد کے نزديک يرموک اور حسينيہ کے علاقے ميں بم دھماکوں ميں 5 افراد ہلاک اور 21 زخمي ہوگئے. ادھر ديالا صوبے ميں فائرنگ اور دھماکوں ميں 13 افراد ہلاک اور 40 زخمي ہوگئے. دھو لويا شہر کے نزديک فوجي اڈے پر حملے ميں 15 فوجي ہلاک اور 2 زخمي ہوگئے. کرکوک شہر ميں 9 بم دھماکوں ميں 9 افراد ہلاک اور 29 زخمي ہوگئے. دو جيل کے علاقے ميں بم دھماکے سے ايک خاتون سميت 4 افراد ہلاک ہوگئے.
