Zardari invited to Chicago summit

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has been invited by NATO to attend the upcoming Chicago summit, according to the Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar.




The summit is scheduled to be held on 20-21 May and will discuss a road map for NATO’s post-2014 role in Afghanistan.
During a news conference last week, NATO Secretary General Andres Fogh Rasmussen had stressed on Pakistan to reopen the supply route which was stopped following an attack on a check-post in Mohmand agency in which 24 soldiers were killed.
Rasmussen had also failed to mention Pakistan as among those countries who had been invited to the summit.
