US seeks action against Haqqani network

(eNews.pk) - WASHINGTON: U.S. Department of State U.S. says that the search for coordinated action by Pakistan, Afghanistan and ISAF against the Haqqani network.

Inform the media here, State Department spokesman, Victoria Nuland, told reporters the U.S. is in talks with Pakistan and Afghanistan in the fight against the Haqqani network.

He said that the U.S. is concerned by the actions of this network in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

"We share the deep concern of Congress regarding the activities of the Haqqani network," said State Department spokesman, Victoria Nuland, told reporters.

The spokesman said President Barack Obama on Friday signed a law - passed with overwhelming bipartisan support in Congress - that gave 30 days to the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to determine whether the Haqqani network meets the criteria a terrorist group.

واشنگٹن…امريکي محکمہ خارجہ کا کہنا ہے کہ امريکا حقاني نيٹ ورک کے خلاف پاکستان،افغانستان اور ايساف کي مربوط کارروائي کا خواہشمند ہے اوراس معاملے پر امريکا کي پاکستان اور افغانستان ميں بات چيت جاري ہے.واشنگٹن ميں ميڈيا کو بريفنگ ديتے ہوئے امريکي محکمہ خارجہ کي ترجمان وکٹوريا نولينڈ نے کہا کہ حقاني نيٹ ورک کي پاکستان اور افغانستان ميں کارروائيوں پر امريکا کو شديد خدشات ہيں. ان کا کہنا تھا کہ حقاني نيٹ ورک کو دہشت گرد قرار دينے سے متعلق بل پر صدر اوباما نے جمعے کو دستخط کيے، جس کے بعد امريکي وزير خارجہ 30 دن ميں کانگريس کو رپورٹ ديں گي کہ حقاني نيٹ ورک کو دہشت گرد قرار ديا جاسکتا ہے يا نہيں. وکٹوريا نولينڈ سے سوال کيا گيا کہ اگر پاکستان افغانستان ميں طالبان کے خلاف کارروائي کرے تو امريکا اس کي حمايت کرے گا يا مخالفت. وکٹوريا نولينڈ نے جواب ديا کہ يہ مفروضات ہيں، امريکا کئي بار کہہ چکا ہے کہ وہ دہشت گردوں کے خلاف پاکستان، افغانستان اور اتحادي افواج کي مربوط کوششيں چاہتا ہے.
