U.S. may stay in Afghanistan until 2024, report

(eNews.pk) - London: The Taliban will open a general ceasefire as well as a political agreement that could lead to a U.S. military presence in Afghanistan until 2024, a new report by a British think-tank said Monday.

But the revolutionary group, led by Mullah Omar, not negotiate with President Hamid Karzai or his administration, which it sees corrupt and weak, the briefing paper by the Royal United Services Institute (Rusi) said.

The report, titled "Taliban perspective on Reconciliation", presents interviews with four senior representatives of the Taliban about their approach to reconciliation.

طالبان سے معاہدہ، امریکا 2024ء تک افغانستان میں رہ سکتا ہے، رپورٹ

لندن … طالبان کے ساتھ مصالحت یا سیاسی معاہدے کرکے امریکا افغانستان میں 2024 تک رہ سکتا ہے۔ فرانسیسی خبر رساں ایجنسی نے برطانوی تھنک ٹینک کی رپورٹ شائع کی ہے، جس کے مطابق طالبان امریکا کے ساتھ جنگ بندی اور سیاسی معاہدے کیلئے راضی ہیں جس کے تحت 2024ء تک امریکا افغانستان میں رہ سکتا ہے۔ رپورٹ میں یہ بھی کہا گیا ہے کہ طالبان کا ایک گروپ جس کی قیادت ملا عمر کرتے ہیں وہ افغان صدر حامد کرزئی اور ان کی ایڈمنسٹریٹر کے ساتھ کسی بھی قسم کی بات چیت کرنے کو راضی نہیں ہیں کیونکہ ملا عمر سمجھتے ہیں کہ کرزئی حکومت کرپٹ اور کمزور ہے۔ اس رپورٹ کو طالبان کے 4 سینئر نمائندوں کے انٹرویو کرنے کے بعد مرتب کیا گیا ہے جنہوں نے مصالحت کیلئے رابطہ کیا تھا۔
