UN declares setting up global fund for poor countries

(eNews.pk) - New York: The United Nations has announced the setting up of a Global Fund for Poor Countries in the wake of the Corona epidemic.




UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has launched a plan to reverse the devastating socio-economic impact of Corona. The project will set up a global fund for low- and middle-income countries.


The Secretary-General says the United Nations quotient is the biggest test ever since the formation of the United Nations, with the Corona virus targeting the lives of communities and people, with long-term effects on the economy. Who have to work together to solve it.


According to a report, 33,257 deaths have been reported from the Corona virus so far, while 6 lakh 97,244 confirmed cases have been reported in 204 countries. The report comes after the IMF announced that the world has suffered the worst crisis since 2009.


According to the UN, the Secretary-General has set up a Response and Recovery Fund for low- and middle-income countries, which will help speedy recovery and help crisis-hit governments.

نیویارک: اقوام متحدہ نے کورونا کی وبا کے بعد غریب ممالک کے لئے عالمی فنڈ کے قیام کا اعلان کیا ہے۔

اقوام متحدہ کے سکریٹری جنرل انتونیو گٹیرس نے کورونا کے تباہ کن معاشرتی و اقتصادی اثرات کو مسترد کرنے کا منصوبہ شروع کیا ہے۔ یہ منصوبہ کم اور درمیانی آمدنی والے ممالک کے لئے عالمی فنڈ قائم کرے گا۔

سکریٹری جنرل کا کہنا ہے کہ اقوام متحدہ کے قیام کے بعد سے اقوام متحدہ کا سب سے بڑا امتحان ہے ، اس سے کورونا وائرس نے معاشروں اور لوگوں کی زندگیوں کو نشانہ بنایا ہے ، جس کا معیشت پر طویل مدتی اثرات مرتب ہوتے ہیں۔ جسے حل کرنے کے لئے مل کر کام کرنا ہوگا۔

ایک رپورٹ کے مطابق ، کورونا وائرس سے اب تک 33،257 اموات ہوئیں ، جبکہ 204 ممالک میں 6 لاکھ 97،244 تصدیق شدہ واقعات رپورٹ ہوئے ہیں۔ یہ رپورٹ آئی ایم ایف کے اعلان کے بعد سامنے آئی ہے کہ دنیا 2009 کے بعد سے بدترین بحران کا شکار ہے۔

اقوام متحدہ کے مطابق ، سکریٹری جنرل نے کم اور درمیانی آمدنی والے ممالک کے لئے رسپانس اور ریکوری فنڈ قائم کیا ہے ، جو تیزی سے بازیابی اور بحران سے متاثرہ حکومتوں کی مدد کرے گا۔
