Trilateral forum discusses border issues

(eNews.pk) - RAWALPINDI: The 35th meeting of Tri Partite Commission was held between military authorities of Pakistan, Afghanistan and ISAF, today.




The Commission provides a forum to raise and hold deliberations on contentious issues and facilitates settlement.
According to an ISPR statement, talks focused on border control measures, and mechanisms put in place to avoid untoward incidents on both sides of Pak-Afghan Border.
Pakistan Army contingent was led by COAS, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. General John Allen, Commander ISAF and General Sher Muhammad Karimi, Chief of General Staff Afghan National Army headed their respective delegations.

راولپنڈي…پاکستان، افغانستان اور اتحادي افواج کے سہ فريقي کميشن کا35واں اجلاس راولپنڈي ميں ہوا. آئي ايس پي آر کے مطابق اجلاس ميں پاک افغان سرحد پر ناخوشگوار واقعات کي روک تھام کے لئے طريقہ کار اور بارڈر کنٹرول اقدامات بارے غور کيا گيا.سہ فريقي کميشن کے اجلاس ميں پاکستاني وفد کي قيادت چيف آف آرمي اسٹاف جنرل اشفاق پرويز کياني جبکہ اتحادي افواج کے کمانڈر جنرل جان ايلن اور افغان نيشنل آرمي کے چيف آف جنرل اسٹاف ، جنرل شير محمد کريمي نے اپنے اپنے وفود کي قيادت کي کميشن پاک افغان سرحد پر ہونے والے معاملات اور مختلف مسائل کے حل کے لئے مدد ديتا ہے.
