Pakistan and the World Bank signed a $ 188 million agreement last week for disaster resilience and ecosystem restoration.

Prime Minister’s adviser on climate change, Malik Amin, said that when the 5-year Pakistan Hydromet and Ecosystem Restoration Services project was signed, the current government took all possible measures for general environmental protection through forest regeneration when it signed the $ 188 million project and biodiversity conservation is taking programs and strengthening the country’s climate resilience through improved disaster risk management.

According to the agreement, the World Bank would partner with Pakistan and provide more reliable and timely weather forecasts to provide funding and technical support for its disaster resilience and ecosystem restoration initiatives.
