Refugee beat the man to death then wrapped a dead snake around his neck
A 16-year-old refugee who brutally murdered a gay man in Sweden was sentenced Wednesday (February 17) to four years in a juvenile detention center.
The unaccompanied refugee also ordered to pay compensation to the relatives of the victim. He will be deported to Morocco after serving his time.
According to local press, the accused and a refugee 19 years old, also of Morocco, and followed the man to his apartment in Bergsjön in June 2015, after he approached them on the street and offered them food and clothes.
Then they beat him to death, wrapped in a dead snake around his neck and his body was dressed in women's clothes.
The 16-year-old was charged with murder, hate crime, and the 19-year-old, with the complicity of a criminal.
The youngest son, whose blood was found in the serpent, told the court that he had acted in self-defense when the man tried to rape him.
