Snow blocks roads in parts of highlands

(eNews.pk) - ABBOTTABAD: Heavy snowfall in Galiyat, Abbottabad, and Murree Hills has cut off many road-links here, Geo news reported.




According to details, work to reopen Murree Road was underway.
On top of bone-marrow-freezing temperature, consumers, already confined to their homes, were hit hard by low gas pressure and frequent power breakdowns.
In Abbottabad the mercury dropped due to continuous snowfall while in the Galiyat it was way below the freezing point.
A number of link roads were also reported to have been impassable for sometime now.
Though, there has been a letup in precipitation but the glacial winds are still deep-freezing the cloudy highlands.
Other frigid zones of the country are also facing subzero temperatures.

ايبٹ آباد. . . . . .ايبٹ آباداور گليات ميں برف باري کے بعد مري روڈ سميت کئي رابطہ سڑکيں بند ہوگئي ہيں. مري روڈ سے برف ہٹانے کا کام جاري ہے.ايبٹ آباد اور گليات ميں گزشتہ روزہونے والي برف باري کے بعد مري روڈاورديگر رابطہ سڑکيں بند ہونے سے لوگوں کو شديد مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑرہا ہے،تاہم مري روڈ سے برف ہٹانے کا کام جاري ہے.گلگت بلتستان ميں برف باري تھم چکي ہے اورموسم جزوي طورپرابرآلود ہے مگر تمام علاقے سرد ہواو?ں کي لپيٹ ميں ہيں.آزادکشمير ميں بارش اور ہلکي برف باري کا سلسلہ وقفے وقفے سے جاري ہے.گزشتہ روز ہونے والي برف باري کے بعد اٹھ مقام، کيل اور شاردرہ سميت وادي ليپہ ميں ہرطرف برف ہي برف نظرآرہي ہے.مانسہرہ سميت ہزارہ ڈويڑن کے بالائي علاقوں ميں وقفے وقفے سے ہونے والي ہلکي بارش کي وجہ سے سرد کي شدت ميں اضافہ ہوگياہے.مالاکنڈ ڈويڑن ميں بادل چھائے ہوئے ہيں.کالام،مالم جبہ اور شانگلہ ميں وقفے وقفے سے برف باري کے باعث علاقے ميں شديد سردي ہے جبکہ چترال کے علاقے لواري ميں ہلکي برف باري کا سلسلہ جاري ہے.شمالي و جنوبي وزيرستان سميت قبائلي علاقہ جات ميں بھي برف باري رکنے کے باوجودسردي کي شدت برقرارہے.شمالي بلوچستان ميں بھي برف باري کے بعد موسم انتہائي سرد ہوگياہے.
