Shuja Khanzada's son wins PP-16 Attock seat

(eNews.pk) - Jahangir Khanzada the son of Punjab home minister Col (retd) Shuja Khanzada won the by-election for Punjab Assembly’s PP-16 (Attock-II) constituency. According to unofficial and unconfirmed results of all 137 polling stations, Jahangir Khanzada, who was contesting on a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) ticket, secured 44,286 votes. His main opponent Doctor Mohammad Naeem Awan, an independent candidate, only managed to bag 4,371 votes.

وزیر داخلہ پنجاب شجاع خان زادہ کے بیٹے جہانگیر خانزادہ نے پنجاب اسمبلی کے حلقہ پی پی 16 کی نشست پر ضمنی انتخاب میں آزاد امیدوار نعیم اعوان کو شکست دے دی۔ اٹک کی تحصیل حضرو میں پنجاب اسمبلی کے حلقہ پی پی 16 میں ہونے والے ضمنی انتخاب میں مقابلہ مسلم لیگ (ن) کے امیدوارشجاع خانزادہ کے بیٹے جہانگیر خانزادہ اور آزاد امیدوار ڈاکٹر نعیم اعوان کے درمیان مقابلہ ہوا تاہم عوام نے شہید شجاع خانزادہ کے بیٹے پر مکمل اعتماد کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے انہیں منتخب کرلیا ہے، غیر سرکاری اور غیر حتمی نتائج کے مطابق جہانگیر خانزادہ نے 44 ہزار 287 جب کہ آزاد امیدوار نے صرف 4 ہزار کے قریب ووٹ لیے۔
