Rs10bn released to Water, Power Ministry

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: The Finance Ministry has released Rs 10 billion to the Ministry of Water and Power to enforce the payment of fees to Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).




Officials for Water and Power Ministry told Geo news that the ministry had directed to release Rs 10 billion in shares instead of the food subsidy. The said amount has been released, confirmed.
The Ministry of Finance also asked the fund launched be used for cleaning fees against grants related to the current year and not before.

اسلام آباد … وزارت خزانہ نے وزارت پاني و بجلي کو 10ارب روپے جاري کر ديئے، رقم پي ايس او او ر آئي پي پيز کو ادائيگيوں ميں استعمال ہوگي. وزارت پاني و بجلي کے حکام نے جيو نيوز کو بتايا ہے کہ وزارت خزانہ سے کہا گيا تھا کہ وہ گزشتہ مالي سال کي بجلي سبسڈي کے بقايا جات کي مد ميں 10 ارب روپے جاري کرے. حکام نے بتايا کہ يہ رقم وزارت خزانہ نے جاري کردي ہے. تاہم وزارت خزانہ نے ساتھ يہ بھي کہا ہے کہ اس رقم کو گزشتہ مالي سال کي سبسڈي کي مد ميں نہيں بلکہ رواں مالي سال کيلئے شمار کيا جائے. حکام نے بتايا کہ وزارت پاني و بجلي کو ملنے وا لي يہ رقم پي ايس او اور نجي بجلي گھروں کو بقاياجات کي ادائيگي ميں استعمال ہو گي .
