Rains, Super Express closed for a week

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: Pakistan Railways' service has been severely affected by the recent monsoon rains cause flooding and submerging tracks at various points, Geo news reported.




According PR sources Sargodha bound Super Express has been closed for a week while Tezgam will not depart from Lahore to Rawalpindi.
As rainwater has submerged the track on Sibbi and DG Khan section, many train services are closed, while delays of other trains have annoyed the passengers, sources said.
General Manager PR Junaid Qureshi told Geo news that Khyber Mail is late by 14 hours and will arrive Lahore at 10 am today, while Allam Iqbal Express Lahore reached at 10:30. Karachi Express is also 11 minutes late and will reach 10 o'clock tonight.

کراچی… بارشوں سے ریلوے ٹریک پر پانی آجانے کے باعث کراچی سے سرگودھا جانے والی سپر ایکسپریس ایک ہفتے کیلئے بند کر دی گئی ہے جبکہ تیزگام بھی آج لاہور سے راولپنڈی نہیں جائے گی۔ ریلوے انتظامیہ نے ٹریک پر سیلابی پانی کھڑا ہونے کے باعث سبی اور ڈی جی خان سیکشن ہر قسم کی ریل ٹریفک کے لئے بند کر دیا ہے۔ ٹرینوں کی تاخیر نے تو مسافروں کو پریشان کر دیا ہے۔جنرل مینجر ریلوے جنید قریشی نے جیونیوز سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ کراچی سے لاہور آنے والی خیبر میل 14 گھنٹے تاخیر کا شکار ہے، خیبر میل کو گزشتہ روز 2 بجے دوپہر کو پہنچنا تھا آج صبح 10 بجے آئے گی۔ کراچی سے لاہور آنے والی علامہ اقبال ایکسپریس جسے آج صبح ساڑھے دس بجے پہنچنا تھا ان شام ساڑھے دس بجے پہنچے گی، کراچی ایکسپریس جسے 11 بجے دن کو پہنچنا تھا اب شام 10 بجے پہنچے گی۔
