Protesters refuse to hand over city till burial

(eNews.pk) - QUETTA: The city had a grim expression as the provincial capital lamented its 118 dead, who were the target of multiple attacks Thursday in Alamdar Road.




In protest, refused to bury the dead on Friday and staged a sit-in to demand that the government will protect barrage of bombings and shootings.
It took over 50 bodies to the main Rehmat Khan Chowk in Alamdar road, saying that they will not bury to improve safety of the city government. Protesters burned tires and blocked the road.
The protesters shouted slogans against the provincial government and held responsible for the murders. The protesters demanded the government to resign in the interest of the province, as it had failed miserably in maintaining law and order in Balochistan.
They vowed to continue the protest until the provincial government steps down and the city surrendered to the army.
Meanwhile, a complete shutter-down strike was observed in the provincial capital to condemn the attacks in Baluchistan called the Anjuman-e-Tajiran, approved by almost all political and nationalist parties.

کوئٹہ… کوئٹہ میں شدید سردی اور بارش کے باوجود علمدار روڈ بم دھماکے میں جاں بحق ہونیوالوں کے لواحقین کا دھرنا گزشتہ روز سے جاری ہے، شرکا نے صوبائی حکومت کے خاتمے اور کوئٹہ شہر کو فوج کے حوالے کرنے تک احتجاج جاری رکھنے کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ کوئٹہ یکجہتی کونسل کے زیراہتمام سخت سردی اور بارش کے باوجود علمدار روڈ بم دھماکے میں جاں بحق ہونیوالے افراد کے لواحقین جن میں خواتین،بچے اور عمر رسیدہ افراد شامل ہیں،گزشتہ روز سے اپنے مطالبات کے حق میں علمدار روڈ پر دھرنا دیئے ہوئے ہیں جبکہ انتظامیہ کی جانب سے مذاکرات کے کئی دور ہونے کے باوجود شرکا اپنا احتجاج جاری رکھے ہوئے ہیں۔ یکجہتی کونسل کے رہنماوٴں نے جیو نیوز کو بتایا کہ حکومت کی جانب سے وعدے وعید احتجاج ختم کرانے کیلئے ناکافی ہیں، لہٰذا اپنے مطالبات پورے ہونے تک نہ تو اپنے احتجاج کو ختم کریں گے اور نہ ہی اپنے پیاروں کی تدفین کریں گے۔ حکومت کی جانب سے مذاکرات کامیاب اور دھرنا ختم کرنے کی بات کی گئی تھی لیکن کوئٹہ یکجہتی کونسل نے حکومتی دعوے کو مسترد کردیا ہے ۔
