PEMRA suspended Geo's license for 15 days

(eNews.pk) - According to spokesman PEMRA, the PEMRA suspended Geo's license for 15 days and fined 10 million Rupees. The PEMRA spokesman said Geo did not stand and were not provided any evidence. This decision proceeded due to the complaint of the Ministry of Defence against Geo.

ترجمان پیمر کے مطابق پیمرا نے جیو نیوز کا لائسنس 15 روز کےلیے معطل کر دیا،پیمرا نے جیو نیوزکو ایک کروڑ جرمانہ بھی عائد کر دیا،جیو کے خلاف فیصلہ وزارت دفاع کی شکایت پر کیا گیا۔ دوسری جانب ادارے کا کہنا ہے کہ پیمرا نے جیو کا موقف نہیں سنا اور کوئی شواہد فراہم نہیں کیے گئے،جیو کو پیمرا پہلے ہی 45 دن سے سزا دے رہا ہے،جیو نے معافی بھی مانگی تھی اس کے باوجود یک طرفہ فیصلہ کیا گیا،جیو کی45 دن سے بندش کی سزا بھگتنے کے نتیجے میں 2 ارب روپے کا نقصان ہوچکا۔
