Pakistan beaten by Malaysia 2-3

(eNews.pk) - IPOH: Pakistan were crashed out of the race of the final in the Azlan Shah hockey tournament after they were defeated by hosts Malaysia 2-3 here on Wednesday.



This was third consecutive defeat for Pakistan in the tournament.



Pakistan made an aggressive start in the match scoring two quick goals against Malaysia .



The first goal was made by Umar Bhutta in the fourth minute and this lead was improved to 2-0 within two minutes when Shafqat Rasool netted a goal



Pakistan was leading 2-0 in the first half but Malaysia fought back in the second half and equaled the score 2-2.



Then in the last minute of the game, Malaysia succeeded in making another goal to win the match 3-2.



In other matches, Britain made an upset beating New Zealand 2-1 while Argentina won by 3-2 to crash India out of the race of the final in the event.

ايپوہ…اذلان شاہ ہاکي ٹورنامنٹ ميں مسلسل تيسري شکست کے بعد پاکستان ٹيم فائنل کي دوڑ سے باہر ہوگئي ہے ، ميزبان ملائيشيا نے قومي ٹيم کو دو کے مقابلے ميں تين گول سے شکست دے دي. ايپو ميں کھيلے گئے ميچ ميں پاکستان نے آغاز ميں ملائيشيا کے خلاف جارحانہ کھيل پيش کيا، پاکستان کي جانب سے پہلا گول چوتھے منٹ ميں عمر بھٹہ نے کيا، اس برتري کو 12ويں منٹ ميں شفقت رسول نے دو صفر کرديا، ليکن پہلے ہاف کے اختتامي لمحات ميں ملائشيا نے پاکستان کے خلاف پہلا گول اسکور کيا جس کے بعد ميزبا ن ٹيم نے پيچھے مڑ کر نہيں ديکھا، دوسرے ہاف ميں بھي ملائيشيا نے دو گول کرکے ميچ دو کے مقابلے ميں تين گول سے جيت ليا، يہ ايونٹ ميں پاکستان کي مسلسل تيسري شکست ہے جس کے بعد قومي ٹيم فائنل کي دوڑ سے باہر ہوگئي ،ديگر ميچز ميں برطانيہ نے نيوزي لينڈ کو دو ايک سے شکست دے کر اپ سيٹ کرديا ، ارجنٹينا نے بھارت کو دو کے مقابلے ميں تين گول سے ہراديا .
