بچوں کی صحت سے متعلق کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں: شفقت محمود

وفاقی وزیر تعلیم شفقت محمودہ نے کہا کہ اسکولوں سے متعلق فیصلہ آئندہ ہفتے اجلاس میں لیا جائے گا ، بچوں کی صحت سے متعلق کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔

شفقت محمود نے کہا کہ میٹنگ کے دوران یہ تجویز کیا گیا تھا کہ یا تو نصاب کم کیا جائے ، گرمیوں کی تعطیلات ختم ہوں یا تعلیمی سال میں توسیع کی جائے لیکن بچوں کی صحت سے متعلق کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔

وزیر تعلیم نے کہا کہ ملک بھر میں نصاب کو متحد کرنے کی کوششیں کی جارہی ہیں۔ بلدیاتی حکومت کا نظام تیار ہے ، جلد نافذ ہوجائے گا۔

اس سے قبل وفاقی اور صوبائی وزیر تعلیم نے پاکستان میں کورونا وائرس کے دوسرے اسکولوں میں موسم سرما کی چھٹیوں کی جلد اور توسیع کا مشورہ دیا تھا۔ وفاقی اور صوبائی وزیر تعلیم اسکولوں کی بندش کے بارے میں فیصلہ کرنے کے لئے نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشنز سنٹر (این سی او سی) کے اجلاس میں شرکت کے لئے جمع ہوئے کیوں کہ ملک کوویڈ 19 کے معاملات میں اضافے کی اطلاع دے رہا ہے۔

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that the decision regarding schools would be taken in the meeting next week and no compromise would be made regarding the health of children.

Shafqat Mahmood said that during the meeting it was suggested that either the curriculum should be reduced, summer vacations should end or the academic year should be extended but no compromise would be made regarding the health of the children.

The Education Minister said that efforts were being made to unite the curriculum across the country. The system of local government is ready, it will be implemented soon.

Earlier, the federal and provincial education ministers had suggested early and extended winter vacations to other schools in Pakistan for the corona virus. The federal and provincial education ministers gathered to attend a meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) to decide on the closure of the schools as the country is reporting an increase in the number of cases.
