NATO base in Wardak attacked, killing 6 people

(eNews.pk) - Ghazni: Ten civilians and two policemen were slain in a twin suicide attack on Saturday focused on a US-led military base in central Afghanistan, police said.




The first bombing was carried out by a militant foot, followed by a huge explosion of a truck bomb that much of a local bazaar near the military outpost in Wardak province's Sayedabad devastated neighborhood, police said.
"The number of casualties is so high that it can hardly be counted. Many people were injured and a large part of the Sayedabad bazaar is destroyed," police spokesman Abdul Wali told.
