Myanmar rebuts Muslim crackdown concerns

(eNews.pk) - YANGON: Myanmar said Monday at a UN envoy rejected claims that the rights of abuse by security forces following the communal riots after the United Nations raised fears of a crackdown on Muslims.

In a press conference attended by the Special Rapporteur of the United Nations Thomas Ojea Quintana, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar said the government had exercised "maximum restraint" to end violence in the western state of Rakhine.

"As such, Myanmar categorically rejects the accusations made by some sectors of the abuses and excessive use of force were made ​​by the authorities to address the situation," he told reporters Wunna Maung Lwin.

کراچي…ميانمار حکومت نے راکھين رياست ميں مسلمانوں کي نسل کشي کے الزامات کو مستردکر ديا ہے. اقوام متحدہ نے کہا تھا کہ روہنگياRohingyaمسلمانوں کو ہدف بنا کرہلاک کيا جارہاہے.اقوام متحدہ کے مندوب تھامس Quintana ميانمار کے دورے پر ہيں جہاں وہ حکومت سے مسلمانوں کي مبينہ ٹارگٹ کلنگ کامعاملہ اٹھائيں گے.حکومت نے ان الزامات کو بے بنيادٹھہراياہے کہ مسلم آبادي پر طاقت کا بے دريغ استعمال کيا گيا.علاقے ميں تشدد کاآغاز کس بات پر ہوا يہ طے کيا جانا بھي باقي ہے.اقوام متحدہ کا کہناہے کہ خوف زدہ مسلم کميونٹي نقل مکاني پر مجبور ہے اورکيمپوں ميں غذاکي قلت کے باوجود لوگ واپس جانے کو تيارنہيں.
