Motorway reopens as visibility improves

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: The highway has been reopened to traffic after a better visibility in parts of Punjab, Geo news reported Thursday.




The Motorway Police closed the highway at night after foggy conditions continued to persist for the fourth straight day.
The highway was closed from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian interchange (Faisalabad) where traffic was diverted to the Grand Trunk (GT) Road.
They had advised people to be careful and turn the lights while driving. They also asked people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel.

لاہور…شدید دُھند کے باعث رات گئے ٹھوکر نیاز بیگ سے پنڈی بھٹیاں انٹر چینج تک بند کی جانے والی موٹروے کو ٹریفک کے لیے کھول دیا گیا ہے،،،موٹروے ترجمان کے مطابق رات گئے حد نگاہ صفر ہونے پر لاہور موٹروے کو ٹھوکر نیاز بیگ سے پنڈی بھٹیاں انٹر چینج تک ہر قسم کی ٹریفک کے لیے بند کر دیا گیا تھا۔موٹروے پر اسلام آباد سے آنے والی ٹریفک کو پنڈی بھٹیاں انٹر چینج سے جی ٹی روڈ کی جانب منتقل کیا جا رہا تھا۔تاہم صبح 7 بجکر بارہ منٹ پرنٹ لاہور موٹروے کو دُھند چھٹنے پر ہر قسم کی ٹریفک کے لیے کھول دیا گیا ہے۔
