Monsoon onset during next 24 hrs

(eNews.pk) - RAWALPINDI: Monsoon is going to onset over upper parts of the country on Monday and Tuesday, giving scattered rains and thundershowers during the week.

Met office informed that monsoon currents are penetrating continuously over upper parts of the country that indicate the onset of regular monsoon rains during next 24 hours (Monday and Tuesday) in the country.

The expected first spell of monsoon rains would last 4-5 days in upper parts of the country, giving scattered rains and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Kashmir.

Rain and thundershowers also expected in Islamabad during next 24 hrs. Monsoon rain is also predicted at isolated places of lower Sindh during the mid-week.

Met office also informed that monsoon normally onsets in the country on July 1, but it is going to start (onset) 4 days before during this year.

The prevailing hot and humid weather conditions since last few days are likely to subside in Islamabad, Punjab, KPK and Kashmir from Monday.

اسلام آباد...ملک کے بالائی علاقوں میں مون سون بارشوں کا سلسلہ آئندہ چار روزکے دوران شروع ہونے کا امکان ہے۔ محکمہ موسمیات کے مطابق آئندہ 24 گھنٹوں میں کشمیر، گلگت بلتستان، بالائی پنجاب، راول پنڈی، اسلام آباد، گوجرانوالہ، لاہور، فیصل آباد اور سرگودھا ڈویڑنز میں کہیں کہیں آندھی اور تیز ہوائیں چلنے کے ساتھ بارش کا امکان ہے۔بالائی خیبرپختونخوا کے علاقے پشاور اور مالاکنڈ میں بھی تیز ہواوں، گرج چمک کے ساتھ بارش کی پیش گوئی کی گئی ہے۔ تاہم ملک کے دیگر علاقوں میں موسم گرم اور خشک رہے گا
