Mobile phone service blocked till 6pm in Karachi

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has suspended mobile services in Karachi from 11 am to 6 pm Friday (today), Geo news.




According to sources, the mobile phone service has been suspended without notice, causing immense difficulties of communication to citizens.
It was also reported that mobile services are likely to be suspended in Peshawar also.
Sources said that cellular services were suspended in the backdrop of some terrorism suspects in the two cities.
Interior Ministry sources adding that there was a threat of mobile phones used to detonate explosives remotely controlled in Karachi.
