Massive power cut strikes northern India

(eNews.pk) - NEW DELHI: A power outage intensive shook northern India on Monday, affecting supplies in the states at least half a dozen that are home to hundreds of millions of people, authorities said.




The authorities were assessing the cause of the problem in the Northern Interconnected System and the number of people affected, but reports pointed to a flaw in a state that led to an automatic shutdown in the surrounding areas.
The Press Trust of India said the area around the capital, New Delhi and the states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan have been affected if supplies are retired in the early hours of Monday.
Trains and subway services and hospitals had been beaten, authorities said. (AFP)

نئي دہلي… بھارت کي 6بڑي رياستوں ميں گزشتہ 6 گھنٹے سے بجلي غائب ہے ،وي وي آئي پي سروس کوايمرجنسي پاور سروس دي جارہي ہے جبکہ کئي علاقے آئندہ 4 سے 5 گھنٹے تاريکي ميں ڈوبے رہيں گے. بھارتي ٹي وي کے مطابق رات گئے 2 بجے شمالي گرڈ اسٹيشن ميں فني خرابي سے کئي رياستوں کي بجلي بند ہوگئي. بھارت کي 6 رياستوں دلي، اتر پرديش، پنجاب، ہريانہ، راجستھان، ہماچل پرديش کے ساتھ مقبوضہ کشمير بھي بجلي سے محروم ہوگيا، حکام کے مطابق بجلي کي بحالي تک ميٹروسروس بند رہے گي. گزشتہ کئي دن سے بجلي کي طلب ميں اضافے کي وجہ سے گرڈ اسٹيشن متاثر ہوا جبکہ اگلے 4 سے 5گھنٹے ميں بجلي بحال کردي جائے گي. وي وي آئي پي سروس کوايمرجنسي پاور سروس دي جارہي ہے. نارتھن ريلويز کے سي پي آر او نيرج شرما کے مطابق ميٹرو سروس 25فيصد بحال ہونا شروع ہوگئي ہے، ڈيزل انجن کي مدد سے کئي ٹرين سروس شروع کردي گئي ہيں.
