Litigation causes Rs131bn loss: FBR
(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: According to the FBR the national exchequer is facing a loss of Rs 131 billion due to pending tax cases, Geo news reported. In light of this the FBR has decided to request the Chief Justices of higher courts to deal with these cases immediately.

FBR member Inland Revenue Service Khawar Khursheed Butt told Geo news that strict action will be taken against those tax defaulters who do not pay their fines by Thursday. He added that today was the last day of the amnesty scheme launched by the FBR and from July 1st they would launch a new drive against those individuals who do not pay their taxes.

Khawar Khursheed Butt said that in the current fiscal year the total tax target was Rs 1,588 billion and the FBR by June 29 had collected Rs 1525 billion and was expecting to collect a further Rs 60 billion on Thursday.

کراچی…ایف بی آر کا کہنا ہے کہ ٹیکس کیسز کے التوا سے قومی خزانے کو ایک سو اکتیس ارب روپے کے نقصان کا سامنا ہے۔اور ایف بی آر نے فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ ان مقدمات کو جلد نمٹانے کیلیے اعلیٰ عدالتوں کے چیف جسٹس سیدرخواست کی جائے گی۔ ایف بی آر کے ممبر انلینڈ ریونیو سروس خاور خورشید بٹ نے جیو نیوز سے گفتگو میں بتایا کہ جو ٹیکس ڈیفالٹرز آج اپنے بقایا جات ادارے کو جمع نہیں کرائیں گے ان کے خلاف سخت کاروائی کی جائے گی۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ایف بی آر کی جانب سے جاری کی گئی ایمنسٹی اسکیم کا آج آخری دن ہے اور یکم جولائی سے ایسے تمام افراد کے خلاف خصوصی مہم چلائی جائے گی جو اپنے ٹیکس جمع نہیں کراتے۔ خاور خورشید بٹ نے بتایا کہ رواں مالی سال کے 1588 ارب روپے کے ٹیکس ہدف کے مقابلے میں ایف بی آر نے 29 جون کی شام تک 1525 ارب روپے حاصل کرلیے ہیں جبکہ آج ادارہ مزید 60 ارب روپے حاصل کرلے گا۔
