Lahore to Sheikhupura Motorway closed due to fog

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: Chubby night blinding fog curtains have forced authorities to close the section of Lahore-Sheikhupura Motorway (M2), Geo news reported Tuesday morning.




The move comes just after a test showed that visibility was virtually impossible for motorists to drive in any lane M2.
"Police have also suspended highway traffic as the fog has led to zero visibility," a policeman told Geo news.
No traffic was allowed to leave the road Thokar Niaz Baig to Sheikhupura exchange until further notice, he said.
Motorists were diverted to GT Road with strict instructions for driving in convoys.
Police have advised motorists to strictly turn the fog lights while driving, traveling in convoys or avoid traveling if possible, as part of security measures, as long as the fog ruled supreme.
