Karachi: Fire erupts again in Baldia Town Factory

(eNews.pk) - Karachi: Fire erupted again clothing factory in Baldia Town Salvage operations remain suspended during the night, Geo news reported.




Over 258 lives were lost in a horrific fire which engulfed the clothing factory located in Baldia Town on Tuesday.
According to Edhi sources, around 217 dead bodies were brought to the Edhi morgue where the identity of 137 was confirmed. 107 bodies were passed to heirs, the sources added.
At least 1,000 workers inside the factory at the time of the fire to receive their salaries.
Sindh Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed said that the DNA sample of the body, where the identity can not be confirmed, was taken to the Civil Hospital, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Jinnah Hospital. He advised the heirs to provide blood samples for the identification of dead bodies.
Meanwhile, Salvage operations remained suspended for apparently clothing factory last night and Rescue team awaited for water-pumps to drain the hot water currently in the basement.

کراچی … کراچی کے علاقے بلدیہ ٹاوٴن کی گارمنٹس فیکٹری میں ایک بار پھر آگ بھڑک اٹھی ہے جبکہ امدادی کارروائیاں رات کے اوقات میں معطل رہیں اور تہہ خانے میں موجود گرم پانی کو نکالنے کیلئے واٹر پمپس کا انتظار کیا جاتا رہا۔ بلدیہ ٹاوٴن میں گارمنٹس فیکٹری میں آتشزدگی کے واقعے میں 258 افراد جاں بحق ہوئے جبکہ 80 لاشوں کی تاحال شناخت نہیں ہوسکی ہے۔ ایدھی ذرائع کے مطابق سانحہ بلدیہ ٹاوٴن کی 217 لاشیں ایدھی سرد خانے لائی گئیں جن میں سے 137 کی شناخت ہوگئی ہے۔ ایدھی ذرائع نے بتایا کہ فیکٹری سانحے میں جاں بحق ہونے والوں میں سے 107 لاشیں ورثاء کے حوالے کی جاچکی ہیں۔ وزیر صحت سندھ ڈاکٹر صغیر کے مطابق سانحہ بلدیہ میں شناخت نہ ہونے والی لاشوں کے ڈی این اے کے نمونے سول اسپتال، عباسی اسپتال اور جناح اسپتال میں لئے جائیں گے اور شناخت نہ ہونے والی لاشوں کے لواحقین ڈی این اے ٹیسٹ کیلئے ان اسپتالوں میں خون کے نمونے دے سکتے ہیں، جبکہ گزشتہ روز بھی کچھ لاشیں اسپتال سے ورثاء کے حوالے کی جاچکی ہے۔ دوسری جانب گزشتہ رات امدادی سرگرمیاں معطل رہیں اور تہہ خانے میں موجود گرم پانی نکالنے کیلئے واٹر پمپس کا انتظار کیا جاتا رہا۔
