Judge remarks on constituency are unconstitutional

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has called observations of a Supreme Court Justice on the delimitation of constituencies in Karachi as unconstitutional, undemocratic and biasd, Geo news.




The supreme MQM demanded of President Asif Ali Raja Zardraim Pervez Ashraf Prime Minister, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and other judges of the apex court to take note of the comments of the judge. He also called for action against the judge by the Constitution.
Hussain was addressing a meeting of party MNAs, MPAs, senators and legal experts.
He said the comments were an attempt to break mandate Muttahida Qaumi Movement in Karachi.
Hussain said the comments were not only biasd but also amounts to face against other ethnic groups in the city.

لندن. . ..متحدہ قومی موومنٹ کے قائد الطاف حسین نے کہاہے کہ حلقہ بندیوں کے بارے میں سپریم کورٹ کے جج کے ریمارکس سراسر غیرآئینی ،غیر جمہوری ،متعصبانہ ہیں۔الطا ف حسین نے یہ بات رابطہ کمیٹی کے اراکین سے لندن سے ٹیلیفونک خطاب میں کہی۔ متحدہ کے قائد نے کہاکہ سپریم کورٹ کی بینچ کویہ حق نہیں پہنچتاکہ وہ یہ کہے کہ ایسی حلقہ بندیاں تشکیل دی جائیں کہ کسی ایک جماعت کی اجارہ داری نہ ہو۔یہ کسی عدالت کانہیں بلکہ عوام کا جمہوری حق ہے کہ وہ کسی بھی حلقہ میں کس جماعت کو ووٹ دیتے ہیں۔انہوں نے ریمارکس کو کراچی کے عوام کی طرف سے دیے جانے والے مینڈیٹ کی توہین اور کراچی دشمنی کی عکاسی ٹہرایا۔الطاف حسین کاکہناتھاکہ ایک جج کی جانب سے یہ کہنا کہ ایسی حلقہ بندیاں کی جائیں کہ کسی ایک جماعت کی اجارہ داری نہ ہو۔ ایم کیوایم کے اکثریتی مینڈیٹ کوتوڑنے کی سوچی سمجھی کوشش ہے۔ صدر آصف زرداری، وفاق پاکستان، حکومت،چیف جسٹس سپریم کورٹ افتخارمحمدچوہدری اورسپریم کورٹ کے دیگر ججز بھی اس معاملے کافوری نوٹس لیں۔ اور سپریم کورٹ کے جن ججوں نے ایسے ریمارکس جاری کیے ہیں ان کے خلاف آئین کے تحت کارروائی کی جائے۔
