HRW "no amnesty" for the crimes of the Taliban

(eNews.pk) - NEW YORK: The Afghan government should not grant amnesty Taliban representatives against the prosecution of serious crime, as part of the talks with the rebel group, Human Rights Watch said today.




On November 17, 2012, the president of Afghan High Peace Council, Rabbani Salahuddin, told reporters that officials Taliban to join peace talks with the Afghan government will receive immunity from prosecution and have their names removed from the sanctions United Nations.
