Hockey: Holland beat Pakistan in semi-final

(eNews.pk) - MELBOURNE: Pakistan were shown the exit door of the Netherlands 5-2 in the first semifinal of the 34th Champions Trophy here on Saturday, Geo news.




At halftime, Pakistan no idea were short of two goals as the Netherlands were the main 3-1. Then the Dutch team with unsurpassed skill score, scored the goals in the fourth and fifth years in the second half, sealing a final victory against Pakistan.
The Green Shirts won a penalty corner in the 10th minute but failed to convert after the election of an indirect attack. Shakeel Abbasi Pakistan in the final moments threw the ball into the goal Dutch, however, failed to snatch victory from Holland impregnable.
The green shirts had entered the semi-final after a lapse of eight years.
In the second semifinal of the event, India will face defending champions Australia.
The final of the mega event will be played on December 9.

ملبورن…چیمپینز ٹرافی ہاکی ٹورنامنٹ کے پہلے سیمی فائنل میں پاکستان کو ہالینڈ نے دو کے مقابلے میں پانچ گولز سے شکست دے دی۔ ہالینڈ نے چھ سال بعد چیمپینز ٹرافی فائنل کے لئے کوالیفائی کیامی۔لبورن میں جاری ٹورنامنٹ میں پاکستان کو آغاز سے ہی مشکلات کا سامنا رہا۔ ڈچ ٹیم کی جانب سے بیلی باکر نے آغاز کے ڈیرھ منٹ بعد ہی پہلا گول اسکور کیا۔ Seve van Ass نے جلد ہی اس برتری کو دو صفر کر دیا۔ پہلا ہاف ختم ہونے سے 12 منٹ قبل پاکستان نے پہلا گول اسکور کیا جو کہ ایک اون گول کی صورت میں سامنے آیا۔ لیکن ہاف ختم ہونے سے تین منٹ قبل بیلی باکر نے ایک اور گول اسکور کرکے برتری تین ایک کردی ۔دوسرے ہاف کے آغاز میں بھی پاکستان ٹیم زیادہ مظاہمت نہ کرسکی اور ہاف شروع ہونیکے دس منٹ بعد ہی . Valetnin Vergaنے ہالینڈ کے لئے چوتھا گول داغ دیا۔ جس کے بعد ڈچ ٹیم کو یہ حوصلہ ہو چلا تھا کہ اب میچ پوری طرح انکی گرفت میں ہے۔ میچ میں مزید دو گولز اور ہوئے۔ پاکستان کو پانچ دو سے شکست کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔
