Heavy rains in AJK, 17 people swept away

(eNews.pk) - Muzaffarabad Tehsil Nasirabad heavy downpour in Azad Kashmir sweeps seventeen people, while the bodies of four people were recovered Wednesday, Geo news.




According to sources, seventeen people, including two women and four children were swept away when the floods occurred in the Machyara.
The Assistant Commissioner confirmed the incident and said that the land slide also occurred in the area after the rain.

مظفرآباد… آزاد کشمیر کی تحصیل نصیر آباد میں گذشتہ شب سے جاری شدید بارشوں کے بعد ندی نالوں میں طغیانی آگئی ہے اور اطلاعات کے مطابق قریبی علاقے مچھیارا میں 2خواتین اور4بچوں سمیت17افراد بہہ گئے۔ اسسٹنٹ کمشنر نے واقعے کی تصدیق کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ ممکنہ طور پر علاقے میں بارشوں کے بعد لینڈ سلائیڈنگ بھی ہوئی ہے ۔ ڈائرکٹر ڈزاسٹرمینجمنٹ اتھارٹی ملک شاہد کے مطابق ڈوبنے والے 4افراد کی لاشیں نکال لی گئی ہیں جبکہ بہہ جانے والے باقی 13 افراد کی تلاش جاری ہے۔
