Heavy fog, Lahore to Pindi Bhatian Motorway closed

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: The motorway has been closed from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian interchange due to poor visibility as dense fog continued to cover parts of Punjab, Geo news reported Monday.




The Motorway Police said the road had been closed as the level of visibility was reduced to zero. Police urged motorists to drive slowly and turn on the fog lights. They said vehicular traffic was diverted to Grand truck (GT) Road.
Severe cold weather has been holding parts of Punjab with dense fog also causing problems for travelers for a week.

لاہور…شدید دھند کے باعث موٹروے کو لاہور سے پنڈی بھٹیاں انٹر چینج تک ٹریفک کے لیے بند کر دیا گیا ہے ،موٹروے پولیس کے مطابق شدید دھند کے باعث حد نگاہ صفر ہو گئی جس کے بعد لاہور سے پنڈی بھٹیاں انٹر چینج اور وہاں سے فیصل آباد انٹر چینج تک موٹر وے کو ٹریفک کے لیے بند کر دیا گیاہے۔ موٹروے پر موجود گاڑیوں کو قافلے کی صورت میں جی ٹی روڈکی طرف موڑا جا رہا ہے،موٹروے پولیس نے ڈرائیوروں کو گاڑیاں آہستہ چلانے اور فوگ لائٹس استعمال کرنے کی ہدایات بھی جاری کی ہیں۔
