GST, interest rate be slashed to 10%

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: Pakistan Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has advised the government to bring down General Sales Tax (GST) and rate of interest to the level of 10 percent in the next years budget.




According to the budget proposals of FPCCI, the trade and business sectors not being presently taxed must be brought into the net and the practice of allowing unfair tax cuts to other sectors be ended.
FPPCI said presently only the salaried class and industries were bearing the entire burden of the country's tax.
It also advised the government to initiate building the Kalabagh Dam by eliminating all the non-development expenditures.

کراچي … وفاق ايوانہائے صنعت و تجارت نے تجويز دي ہے کہ بجٹ ميں سيلز ٹيکس اور شرح سود کو 10 فيصد کي سطح پر لايا جائے. وفاق ايوان ہائے صنعت و تجارت کي بجٹ تجاويز کے مطابق اگلے بجٹ ميں ٹيکس نہ دينے والے شعبوں پر ٹيکس لگايا جائے اور ديگر شعبوں پر غير منصفانہ ٹيکس چھوٹ ختم کي جائے. ايف پي سي سي آئي کے مطابق في الحال صرف تنخواہ دار طبقہ اور صنعتيں ٹيکس کا بوجھ برداشت کر رہي ہيں. ايف پي سي سي آئي نے حکومت سے مطالبہ کيا ہے کہ غير ترقياتي اخراجات ختم کر کے کالا باغ ڈيم کي تعمير شروع کي جائے .
