GB and Malakand link roads closed due to Snow

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Gilgit-Baltistan and Malakand have been cut off from the rest of the country because of blocked roads due to heavy snowfall, Geo news reported Friday.




While winter is back again, as different cities of Punjab and Khyber Agency received rains hit by sporadic rain.
A woman died and three others were injured as the roof of a house collapsed due to rains in the area of Bara Akakhel.
Snowfall in Hunza Nagar, Diamar and Gilgit Baltistan Skardu continued unabated, while the communication system has been hit by heavy snow in the Astor. Chilas city was shivering in the cold after the rains.
Upper areas of Malakand Division socked in rain and snow since last night, while road and highway Swat Alpuri in Shangla Puran been closed for traffic.
In Punjab, the cold is back again, as Gujrat, Gujranawala and some other cities received heavy downpour.

اسلام آباد…گلگت بلتستان اور مالاکنڈ میں برفباری کے باعث رابطہ سڑکیں بند ہوگئی ہیں ،پنجاب کے مختلف شہروں میں بارش سے جاڑا ایک بار پھر لوٹ آیا ہے خیبر ایجنسی میں گزشتہ روز سے وقفے وقفے سے بارش جاری ہے ۔ بارش کی وجہ سے باڑہ کے علاقے اکا خیل میں مکان کی چھت گرنے سے خاتون جاں بحق اور3 افراد زخمی ہوگئے۔گلگت بلتستان کے ہنزہ نگر،دیامر اور اسکردو میں برفباری جاری ہے۔ استور میں شدید برفباری کی وجہ سے مواصلات کا نظام بری طرح درہم برہم ہوگیا ہے۔ چلاس شہر میں بارش سے سردی مزید بڑھ گئی ہے۔مالاکنڈ ڈویڑن کے بالائی علاقوں میں رات سے برفباری اور بار ش کا سلسلہ جاری ہے۔ شانگلہ میں برفباری سے سوات روڈ اور الپوری پورن روڈ ٹریفک کے لئے بند ہوگئی ہے۔پنجاب کے شہروں گجرات اور گوجرانوالہ میں بارش سے جاتی ہوئی سردی پھر لوٹ آئی ہے۔
