Fog suspends traffic on Lahore-Sheikhupura M2

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: A snowstorm fog once again led to the closure of the motorway (M2) Lahore Sheikhupura exchange form, Geo news.




According to sources, visibility tests showed that it was virtually impossible for motorists to drive in any lane M2.
"Police have closed the highway road when driving conditions are dazzlingly dangerous," a policeman told Geo news.
Moreover, the lower traffic was diverted to Islamabad via GT Road Pindi Bhattian Interchange with strict instructions to drive convoys.
Police have advised motorists to strictly turn the fog lights while driving, traveling in convoys or avoid traveling if possible, as part of security measures, as long as the fog ruled supreme.

لاہور… شدید دھند کے باعث لاہور موٹروے کو شیخوپورہ انٹر چینج تک ٹریفک کے لیے بند کر دیا گیا ہے اور اسلام آباد سے لاہور آنے والی ٹریفک کو پنڈی بھٹیاں انٹر چینج سے جی ٹی روڈ منتقل کیا جا رہا ہے۔ موٹروے ذرائع کے مطابق لاہور موٹروے کو شیخوپورہ انٹر چینج تک حد نگاہ صفر ہونے پر ٹریفک کے لیے بند کر دیا گیا ہے جبکہ اسلام آباد سے لاہور آنے والی ٹریفک کو پنڈی بھٹیاں انٹر چینج پر شدید دھند آ جانے پر جی ٹی روڈ منتقل کیا جا رہا ہے۔ موٹروے پر دھند میں پھنس جانے والی گاڑیوں کو کانوائے کے ذریعے جی ٹی روڈ منتقل کیا جا رہا ہے۔ موٹروے پولیس کی جانب سے دھند میں پھنس جانے والی گاڑیوں کو فوگ لائٹس کے استعمال اور رفتار آہستہ رکھنے کی ہدایت دی جا رہی ہے۔
