Flights affected due to fog at Lahore Airport

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: Dense fog descended on Lahore and other parts of the region, plunging visibility to zero and forcing the closure of the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Geo news reported Saturday.




According to reports, at least two flights were diverted to Islamabad due to low visibility, while one in Karachi.
A flight to bring home players of Pakistan national team hockey Doha was diverted to Karachi and later moved back to Doha, leaving many disappointed people who had been waiting at the Allama Iqbal International Airport to extend a warm welcome to national players upon arrival in Lahore to defeat his archrival India append the Asian Champions Trophy on Thursday.
Severe cold weather is gripping the city with dense fog also causing problems for travelers in the past six days.








لاہور ایئرپورٹ دُھند کے باعث بند، پروازیں متاثر


لاہور …لاہور میں شدید دُھند پڑنے سے علامہ اقبال انٹر نیشنل ائیرپورٹ بند کر دیا گیا،اندرون اور بیرون ملک سے لاہورآنے والی پروازوں کو اسلام آباد منتقل کر دیا گیا۔ائیرپورٹ حکام کے مطابق لاہور کے علامہ اقبال انٹر نیشنل ائئر پورٹ کو شدید دھمند کے باعث بند کر دیا گیا ہے۔لاہور ائیرپورٹ آنے والی تمام پروازوں جن میں دوحہ سے لاہور آنے والی قطر ائیرویز کی پرواز322 ، دوبئی سے لاہور آنے والی امارات کی پرواز 622، دوبئی سے لاہور آنے والی اتحاد ائیرلائن کی پرواز 241 کو اسلام آباد ائیرپورٹ منتقل کر دیا گیا جبکہ بنکاک سے لاہور آنے والی پرواز پی کے 893 بھی اسلام آباد منتقل کر دی گئی ہے۔ائیرپورٹ حکام کے مطابق پر دُھند چھٹتے ہی ائیرپورٹ کو پروازوں کے لیے کھول دیا جائے گا۔
