Egypt to rethink Israel peace deal: Fars

(eNews.pk) - TEHRAN: Islamic Egypt's president-elect, Mohamed Morsi, wants to "reconsider" the peace agreement with Israel and build ties with Iran to "create a strategic balance" in the Middle East, according to an interview published by the Iranian news agency Fars on Monday.




The stated objectives are to alarm some of Israel and its U.S. ally as they adapt to the new address table Morsi Egypt at the helm.
It may also increase Iran's influence in the Middle East at a time of growing tensions between Tehran and the West.
